13 projects have been approved in the second and last open call of the Latvian fund for human resource development. With support from Norway Grants, the fund helps to build institutional and organisational capacity in Latvia.
Through the EEA and Norway Grants close to 200 cultural heritage projects receive support from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. The support goes to renovation of historical monuments, arts and documents, making these available to the public and future generations.
Many pieces of cultural heritage in the Czech Republic would have been subject to complete deterioration without the EEA and Norway Grants. The review finds the support from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway to have a significant and positive impact on the preservation of European cultural heritage in the Czech Republic.
Through the restoration of historic whaling boats, the support from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway helps to reenergise coastal communities on the Azores islands.
