mediumThe Grand Slam Guide to College Baseball Recruiting and Scholarships Guide was written by former MBL pitcher, John Riedling, who played in the big leagues for 14 years, with the Cincinnati Reds and the Florida Marlins.

Unlike most athletic scholarship guides – this one is based on interviews with the people that make the decisions on who gets the scholarships – the coaches themselves.
I knew right off the bat (sorry for the pun!) that this was going to be a different kind of guide, because Reidling suggests that you start the athletic scholarship search as early as your freshman year – and I know from personal experience that this is the truth!

Unfortunately, few people tell you this!

This is really an excellent well written and affordable guide to going after a baseball scholarship – but the core principles can be applied to virtually any sport.

Federal Grant Source Review

federal_grantsThis is probably one of the older grant resources online, and it offers a huge database packed with information. On the good  side – it’s a lot of information at your fingertips – on the downside – it can be a little overwhelming when you first start out.

This is actually a recurring monthly membership, which you can easily cancel at any time. Most member usually stay on the service for 6 to 9 months to take full advantage of the updates on the service. And that is the best part of getting a service rather than a printed book or ebook if you are looking for a variety of different grants – a monthly service means that the database will be updated with fresh programs, as opposed to a printed guide. With a one time fee – what you get at purchase time is all you will get!
